Portable Binchotan Charcoal - Water Purifying Sticks for Great-Tasting Water from Kishu, Japan - Each Stick Filters Personal-Sized Water Bottle - 2 Sticks Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Kishu region of Japan. Excellent natural properties that help reduce odor and hardness from water, and filter for better tasting drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. Use 1 stick for a personal water bottle and use 2 sticks for a carafe. 1 stick can filter up to 1 liter (33.8 ounces) of water.; each stick is approximately 0.8 inches diameter and 4 inches length.
Kishu Binchotan (Japanese Oak) Charcoal is known as the quality charcoal for purifying water. Binchotan charcoal is activated through an extremely high burning temperature and a rapid cooling process. Binchotan absorbs chlorine and other chemicals from drinking water while releasing natural minerals into it. Binchotan has an alkaline effect - it softens and improves the overall taste of water. Bichotan can be re-used up to about 3 months. It can be easily recycled by breaking it into small pieces and placing them into your plant soil, creating micro water and air cavities in the soil. Made in the Kishu region in Japan. First use: rinse with water and boil for 10 minutes and let dry. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
